It looks like the NFL is about to get a wake-up call. Vince McMahon has sold $100 million of stock in WWE, the publicly traded company he has run since 1982, apparently for the purpose of relaunching the XFL. I would imagine if that launch is successful, former NFL fans who have had it with the social justice bullcrap will tune into the XFL. It might just be what is needed. No details on the venture will be released until January 25, 2018. It’s not clear if the XFL will directly compete with the NFL, but it would certainly make sense. The XFL played for one season in 2001 and then was put in mothballs, but McMahon thinks a resurrection is in order now.

The NFL’s brand has plummeted since they let players kneel during the National Anthem and conduct protests whenever they felt like it. America is sick of it. For half a century, the NFL ruled sports in America, but no more. And something will have to fill the vacuum. Maybe the XFL is that something. Considering that television ratings for the NFL are severely down, revenues have plummeted and attendance at games is at an all time low, this is the perfect time for a new entity to enter the market.

It’s that time of year again where Peppermint Mochas are in season! And although going to a local coffee shop is fun, you can make your own Homemade Peppermint Mocha at home.

This can be dangerous though…because if you’re like me and love anything chocolate, you end up making chocolate things all the time. And then eating all of them. But chocolate is good for you, right? Packed with antioxidants?

I think so. So, I’m just going to keep eating it.

Now, this recipe isn’t dairy free…or really all that health conscious because let’s be real…sometimes you gotta just live a little, you know? It’s totally worth every delicious sip!

This Homemade Peppermint Mocha is similar to my Hot Cocoa recipe. It’s super easy to make and absolutely delicious to drink. Perfect holiday beverage to warm you up!

It’s made with cocoa powder, strong coffee (made with a good quality brand), heavy cream, milk, sugar, peppermint extract, and a dash of salt. It’s important to use both a good tasting cocoa powder and good quality coffee because it affects the flavor. I personally love the Trader Joe’s brand of cocoa powder. It’s very flavorful and not expensive. One of my favorite coffee brands is Counter Culture. I tend to get their medium to dark roasts but any coffee brand you like will work perfect. Just be sure to brew it strong. Follow the directions on your bag of coffee and maybe add just a tad more coffee when brewing. I used a Pour Over when making coffee for this and it turned out lovely!

You can make this Peppermint Mocha a medium pot on your stove. Heat to medium heat and add cocoa powder, sugar, salt, milk, and heavy cream. Heat to a low simmer but do not boil. The cocoa powder and sugar should dissolve in the cream and milk. Then add in coffee. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract. Add more or less extract depending on how much you love peppermint.

Voila!

Now you have your very own Homemade Peppermint Mocha that you didn’t have to go out to order. Serve this warming goodness in your favorite mugs! Cheers!

Many Americans walk around in a cloud, having almost no knowledge of what the Trump Administration has accomplished in its first year because the Mainstream Media has repeatedly failed to deliver real news. Mind you, to acknowledge his achievements would demand admission of multiple errors in predictions about his presidency; therefore, they opt for covering nonsensical rubbish like two scoops of ice cream,  Twitter feeds and the President's Diet Coke consumption.

Citing White House's information site 82 accomplishments demonstrates, despite all media generated drama and ill-gotten investigations by rogue intel agencies, the Administration has accomplished more sustainable achievements than others in US History. Additionally, these achievements are not insignificant as they have a powerful yet positive impact on citizens' everyday lives, domestic and international economies as well as foreign policy containing real red lines.

Here is a breakdown listed in a Washington Examiner's article which lists out the achievements by category with an additional Executive Order added on December 21st!

Jobs and the economy

• Passage of the tax reform bill providing $5.5 billion in cuts and repealing the Obamacare mandate.
• Increase of the GDP above 3 percent.
• Creation of 1.7 million new jobs, cutting unemployment to 4.1 percent.
• Saw the Dow Jones reach record highs.
• A rebound in economic confidence to a 17-year high.
• A new executive order to boost apprenticeships.
• A move to boost computer sciences in Education Department programs.
• Prioritizing women-owned businesses for some $500 million in SBA loans.

Killing job-stifling regulations

• Signed an Executive Order demanding that two regulations be killed for every new one creates. He beat that big and cut 16 rules and regulations for every one created, saving $8.1 billion.
• Signed 15 congressional regulatory cuts.
• Withdrew from the Obama-era Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of environmental regulations.
• Signed an Executive Order cutting the time for infrastructure permit approvals.
• Eliminated an Obama rule on streams that Trump felt unfairly targeted the coal industry.

Fair trade

• Made good on his campaign promise to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

• Signed three executive orders aimed at cracking down on international criminal organizations.
• Attorney General Jeff Sessions created new National Public Safety Partnership, a cooperative initiative with cities to reduce violent crimes.

Accountability

• Trump has nominated 73 federal judges and won his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
• Ordered ethical standards including a lobbying ban.
• Called for a comprehensive plan to reorganize the executive branch.
• Ordered an overhaul to modernize the digital government.
• Called for a full audit of the Pentagon and its spending.

Combating opioids

• First, the president declared a Nationwide Public Health Emergency on opioids.
