A Viewer Writes: UMES

This was sent to me by my friend’s daughter, who is “non-colored” that attends UMES. While I understand the racial profile of UMES is primarily African Americans, if a “non-colored” person did a bulletin board such as this one, you can’t tell me that the NAACP wouldn’t be all over this screaming racism and prejudice.

Rather disappointing and the student has decided to transfer after this semester because as she puts it “ I came here to learn, not to be segregated against, it’s 2018 for crying out loud, the skin color shouldn’t come into play in an educational setting”

Just didn’t know if you knew this type of behavior was allowed at UMES.
